Visakhapatnam: The talks between the celebrities of Tollywood and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday yielded positive results with megastar K Chiranjeevi who took the initiative to hammer out a solution, saying that the government has agreed to release an order to address the concerns expressed by them over the future of Telugu film industry.
Cinematography Minister Perni Nani, who took part in the talks, said orders on the decisions taken by the Chief Minister will be issued by month-end as per the commitment given by the Chief Minister.
After the talks, Chiranjeevi said the Chief Minister evinced keen interest to find out their problems and promised to create the required ecosystem to make Visakhapatnam a hub for film shootings. He promised to encourage more studios so that both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will have equal importance for production units.
This is the second time in a month that the megastar held a meeting with the Chief Minister. Chiranjeevi said Reddy agreed to allow a fifth show and initiate other measures to encourage small films.
Visakhapatnam, despite being popular for its filmy locales like Burra Guhalu, Araku Valley, Erra Matti Dibbalu and sun-kissed beaches, has remained a popular destination for outdoor shootings. There has been demand to develop a mega film studio with the required facilities.
